Overall a positive experience, the beach was beautiful and sunsets were breathtaking.

The beach is so beautiful and we were able to see the whales from the hotel.

Drinks have no alcohol, if you want real alcohol you need to tip the waitresses in advance. The beach during winter is covered by the shadow of the hotel until noon.

Great stay next to the beach, annoying hotel sellers.

It is a great place with an awesome location next to the beach, the view is gorgeous and the staff is so friendly, the rooms are comfy and clean.

It is so annoying they are trying to sell you timeshare right when you arrive to the hotel, we were hungry and tired from the road, we only wanted to go to our rooms and enjoy our vacations, the last we need is a seller.

Excellent location. Best beach in Puerto Vallarta! Fun activities throughout the day. The food at the restaurants is outstanding! The buffets have improved. The staff is very friendly and quick.

The stay was great there, it was just a few things that would make everything better. The food was not that great. From

Rooms were pretty big, several bars located within the property. Good access to the beach.

Electricity and WiFi would go out as well as elevators wouldn’t work well.

Mixed bag of great and not so great

All the staff were very attentive to our service needs. The bartenders made delicious drinks. The housekeepers were excellent. The restaurant hostesses were kind. The staff made the experience enjoyable, and they work really really hard. Food was pretty decent, though keep in mind that not all the restaurants are open at all times or days, so the available options are fewer than it seems on the website. It would be nice for a few more sites or options to be open more consistently. The hotel itself and the room was beautiful and comfortable beds, beautiful view, large bathroom. Wished there was a cheaper room with a tub, but the shower sufficed. Free room service and the beverages in the fridge (refilled daily) were actually free as well. Some activities were provided at the resort, they seemed satisfactory, though for me as a busy person it would have been nice for a few more activities. Great spa (extra cost)- it was a very lovely experience. We accidentally ended up with a VIP pass through Booking; this gave us access to the Ekinox lounging areas and bar free of charge, and it was a wonderful little bonus!

No shuttle like advertised. Options: bus or taxi or Uber. Inconsistent wifi and service for Uber even before the storm. Couldn't call an Uber or reach our families. Despite the "soundproofed room", there was a lot of noise some nights, the doors and windows don't have the best seals, and the night entertainment/other tourists could easily be heard at night; I needed ear plugs every night, unfortunately. Murky water and short beach, though this was similar everywhere in Puerto, even before hurricane. Got tricked into a membership presentation due to language barriers; told we had to meet, but not what it was for. We tried to excuse ourselves but they kept showing us options. Told we had no pressure to sign up, but that wasn't the case. Had to decide that day. Not friendly when we declined. Really wished it hadn't needed to go that way, on our first full day there.

Nice place and might go back.... but request a room that was at least 7th floor.

It was pretty good and tasty. Plenty of choices such as fruit, yogurt, varies mexican dishes, etc. There was also a grill that you could get eggs cooked varies ways.

We were on the 4th floor which was below the main 5th floor lounge/bar area as well as the area that you check in. It was also just above the main pool / bar which could get really loud. There was also on the 5th floor live music next to the bar and didn't shut down until after 10:30 or so. The beds were on the wall that over looked the balcony. There was a balcony light that stayed on until around 10:30 -11:00, thus bright and hard to go to sleep. I recommend to get a room higher up if you are a light sleeper.

Comfortable hotel with a lot of potential and in need of some impromevements

The staff is definitely the highlight of this hotel. They will go out of their way to make up for some of the things the property lacks. I wish I'd remember everyone's names but I highlight Fernando one of the beach waiters who was always smiling and ready to help in spite of the extreme heat, Judith the Italian restaurant, Sergio who did maintenance around the pool area who went above and beyond setting up a beach umbrella and finding me towels one morning. All waiters at the Veranda restaurant were also amazing. The bedrooms were very big and comfortable, with great beds and sheets, and silent considering how loud it can get outside. We were on the third floor and slept great every night. Lastly, I loved the beach, it's very swimmable and because of its location, it's almost a private beach to the hotel even though all beaches are public in Mexico. The hotel is right on the beach and you can't beat that.

The two main things that make me wonder if I would come back to the hotel are the food, which is mediocre at best and the cleaningness of the rooms. Upon arrival our rooms weren't fully cleaned (dust everywhere, finger marks on glasses and mirrors, dirty floors, etc), and when we asked the front desk to please send someone to clean it their answer was that they would send a supervisor to check that the rooms were indeed dirty. Pretty unacceptable response in my books. The food is just not great, pretty bland, not great quality, and not a lot of options. Waiters are great and super helpful but sadly it isn't enough. Lastly, I found a lot of inconsistency in things like the availability of towels in the morning, even though there's a sign saying they are available at 8:45 AM it was never the case, same with the setup of the beach loungers and umbrellas. I like to start my mornings early at the beach (8:30/9 AM) and it was rarely set up by then. It was a bit of a job to get set up for a day at the beach which shouldn't be the case at a resort. The pools are only good if you are a kid or want to sit at the pool bar all day and don't mind having kids splashing around you. Otherwise, it's overcrowded and not looking very sanitary, to be honest.

We enjoyed our stay.

We love that it was close to the beach. The beach is clean, less people when we we’re there so we enjoyed it so much. The staff are all so nice. They see you without a drink and they’ll get whatever you want. I find the staff works hard there at least the workers that we encountered especially in the veranda. We arrive really late around 1am and they told ask that room service is available and they’ll whip us something from the kitchen. We didn’t order anything, we just wanted to rest but we appreciate the offer. We like the food, lots of options.

The beach was very wavy during our stay but that’s how nature works. Can’t bring your mood down when the sun’s out and you hear the waves, very therapeutic. We were still able to dip in the water. There was a big cockroach in our balcony but the housekeeping were able to clean it out. Nothing inside the room, it was very clean. We have two rooms, one in the 4th floor and the other one in the 10th. We just noticed that the 10th floor is a bit warmer than the 4th but they have the ceiling fan to make the room cooler. So just use the ceiling to make the temperature more comfortable.

Wonderful

The check in process was sooo long, the line kept getting bigger and then after youre already annoyed they try to sell you a time share. There was food outside the rooms that lasted 2 days and nobody would clean. Some bell men tried to ask for tips of they wouldn't let you park in the front.

I love the beach, it’s a lot cleaner than actual Puerto Vallarta. Closer to nature.

Property is nice. What I didn’t really like is the food for lunch. Breakfasts is fine, dinner is quite good, but lunch is pretty basic and not very tasty. For an all inclusive hotel you should have more than one choice of beer (XX). In general, it’s a bit expensive for what they offer. Also, my idea of an all inclusive hotel was to have a good rest. There is too much noice!

Excellent service and cleanliness

Breakfast was excellent. Coffee was the best in the resort. All staff extremely friendly, very attentive and polite. I was a solo traveller so it was nice to be greeted with a smile. The food in the Italian restaurant was very good.

The fish in the Pescado restaurant was always a little overcooked. Like many all inclusive resorts it was very difficult to find a sunbed. There was no information on the website to say the sea was mostly unsafe to swim in most of the time, the waves were spectacular but not suitable for most average swimmers.

great place for a family stay however try to avoid rooms 401-403

great food and staff were great.

mainly our room #402 was directly under the italian restaurant they have, so all night till 12:30am we could hear table/chairs moving and other loud clinks and such. plus the floors get fairly sandy.
